This widget presents a variation on the well-known solar band conditions widget of Paul Herrman, N0NBH. My reason for developing this version was to provide a larger and more basic version of the widget together with styling suitable for webpages having lighter backgrounds. Thus, it offers a different aesthetic choice, but the same basic data.

The code below can be used to add the widget to your own website. You will note that the <script> tag references a PHP source file. This is not a typo! The PHP file returns to the browser the Javascript code needed to display the widget. This was implemented in this fashion to obviate the need for a cross-domain AJAX call, something that is generally not possible. So, use the code as written, and all will be well!
